George J. Fleig and Henry V. Fleig started a boiler cleaning company in 1975 called J & G Boiler. The main focus of the company was to clean boiler's and heating systems for its customer bases located around Albany, NY.
The work was dirty and hard. In the 70's boiler cleaning did not utilize the modern equipment and tools we have available in modern times.
J & G built a base of loyal customers through honesty and hard-work.
This hardened work-ethic and passion for challenges was passed down to John Fleig as he began to contribute more to the companies overall strategy.
Through the years John began to embrace his leadership role and began to focus his life on on carrying on the family business that shaped his childhood.
From lung tissue, a newly discovered bacterium was found to be the cause of the pneumonia and was named Legionella pneumophila. Legionnaires' disease was first recognized in 1976
John worked alongside other industry leaders and offered Legionella control programs and services for Buildings & Facilities.
Monitoring CFU Levels and ensuring Legionella free water systems.
Now head CEO and President of J & G Boiler, John insisted on a name change. A change that was needed in a growing innovative company.
J & G announced a company change that would now name the company Chemenergy Water Treatment, Inc.
Experiencing the water treatment industry first hand gave John insight into the problems facility owners face.
Through years of extensive research, development, and analytical testing, John introduced solid encapsulation technology. Patents were formed for the solid dilution feeding system and engineering.
This technology would ignite innovation within the company for sustainability and safety.
Chemenergy focused on providing a customer experience that encompassed less sales strategies and more consultation and knowledge trading between Chemenergy and the client.
Water systems are complex in engineering and involve complicated data. Chemenergy was able to present this complicated data and simplified manner to accomplish effective water treatment results.
Due to Chemenergy's exceptional customer experience strategy the company continued to gain interest and attract customer's seeking a consultative approach to water treatment needs.
Chemenergy continued its distribution channels to places like Dubai, Ireland, and Brazil.
Releasing Chemenergy's new controller allowed the company to provide more real-time readings to its clients. This new technology in water treatment systems was the first of its kind. Sparking innovation in the company.
The data gathered from the new controller, called Aperture, was also paired with BMS systems to track data points and relay them over digital databases for off-site viewing.
Solid water treatment continues to be a safer alternative to liquid water treatment totes and equipment.
Chemenergy's customer bases often choose solid water treatment programs over liquid water treatment programs. Branding Chemenergy as a safer option when compared to competing water treatment companies.
In 2014, Chemenergy made the move from their original HQs in downtown Albany, NY to another larger facility in Colonie, NY.
This moved signified organization and growth with the company and helped us serve our customers faster with better products.
Chemenergy was equipped with the right tools and trained staff to aid client bases with NYS Legionella Law compliance.
Legionella laws were passed in NY after multiple deadly outbreaks in NYC. Prompting legislation to enact the legionella laws stating water systems that have the potential for legionella bacteria contamination must be monitored and treated via a water treatment professional.
