Metal Passivation

Elements form stable oxide films that effectively seal the surface and prevent all contact with water and air. This process is called passivation. Corrosion in metal can be prevented when the metal has a protective barrier. We will prepare your surface to receive proper protection and then apply our protective film to act as a barrier. This is a form of pre-treatment called passivation.

Start-up your cooling water system with the proper passivation using Chemenergy's propietrary system.

Overview:

Protect system assets, less system downtown, and cleaner surfaces: Our passivation techniques will properly prepare your surface to allow proper passivation films to form using our added products. This protective barrier will prevent corrosion in your cooling tower system resulting in less system downtown and protection of a valuable asset.

Advanced Corrosion Inhibitors:

We use advanced corrosion inhibitor chemistries to create effective films. Applying a proprietary cleaning agent that is dosed into the cooling water system and held for an amount of time. Once the cleaning agent is dropped, the system is ready for application of Chemenergy's proprietary cooling tower water treatment corrosion inhibitors.

Reactive Inhibitors:

Our inhibitors chemically react with the metal surface to produce a protective film sometimes called a Passive film. This film is chemically bonded to the surface and contains both Oxidized metal and some form of the inhibitor.

Stable Films:

These Passive films are stable and resistant to velocity and turbulence effects and provide residual corrosion protection if the chemical feed is stopped for a short period of time for any reason.
