The RO / NF system feedwater must be carefully treated to minimize microbiological contamination. The feedwater should then be chemically treated to further minimize biofouling growth. Biofouling can be minimized through Chlorine, filtration and biocide programs. Only oxidizing biocides should be used in potable water RO systems.
