On-Site RO Cleanings

Membrane cleaning schedules should be planned and reflected by the normalized system data and not by any predetermined schedule. RO / NF system membranes should be cleaned if normalized product flow has decreased by 10%, the pressure-drop co-efficient has increased by 10%, or the actual pressure drop across a stage reaches 50 psi. Other factors can and might play a role in when to clean Membranes, we can help you put a plan in place to clean at the right times.

Cleaning RO / NF system membranes in the field:

Chemenergy's service technicians are trained to clean RO / NF system membranes on-site. We come to you and work with our proprietary formulated water treatment solutions to clean membranes properly.

Cleaning membrane parts will ensure your system minimizes scaling, fouling and microbiological growth. Failure to clean membranes when they need to be cleaned may result in physical damage or permanent fouling of the membranes.

Working with Chemenergy will ensure the following for your RO / NF membrane cleanings:

- Product flow is normalized up to the system's manual
- Proper pressure-drop coefficient
- Proper actual pressure drop readings
- Protection of company assets
- Membrane safe cleaning solutions
- A cleaning schedule that is not too frequent but also not to infrequent. If cleanings are too frequent membrane degradation may occur. If cleanings occur too late scaling or fouling has settled and becomes irreversible. We plan cleanings according to the systems behavior.
